Classic Roundtrip in Namibia 2011 for 13 days ( including Driver )

1      Day – Arrival in Windhoek and Kalahari (ca. 320 km)
Pick-up at (international) airport und handing over of rental vehicle in Windhoek.  In southern direction via  Rehoboth and Kalkrand to a lodge at the edge of the Kalahari.  Dinner, accommodation and breakfast included.

2.    Day – Namib Rand and Namib Naukluft Park (ca. 356 km)

Via Mariental and Maltahöhe in western direction to a lodge for two days situated in the Namib desert.  Dinner, accommodation and breakfast included.

3.    Day – Sesriem & Sossusvlei (ca. 246 km)
Daily excursion to Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei, both situated in the Namib Naukluft Park  (park fees included).  Return to lodge including dinner, accommodation and breakfast.

4.    Day – Swakopmund (ca. 284 km)
In north eastern direction via Solitaire and Kuiseb Pass to Walvis Bay.  Excursion to lagoon and proceeding to Swakopmund.  Accommodation in guesthouse including breakfast.

5.    Day – Swakopmund (ca. 70 km)
Full day stay in Swakopmund.  Alternatively return to Walvis Bay for a boat trip (optional) in the lagoon. Otherwise visit of moon landscape (optional) or Welwitschia plain (optional) at the edge of the Swakop valley.  Swakopmund offers regarding the history, the historical buildings and several shopping opportunities plenty of new impressions.   Accommodation in guesthouse including breakfast.

6.    Day – Khorixas (ca. 367 km)
In northern direction via Henties Bay and the old mine town Uis near Brandberg towards Khorixas to a lodge.  Dinner, accommodation and breakfast included..

7.    Day – Twyvelfontein & Sesfontein (ca. 380 km)
Via Twyvelfontein, the petrified forest, the burned mountain (park fees included) to a lodge near Sesfontein. Dinner, accommodation and breakfast included.

8.    Day – Himba & Etosha South (ca. 451 km)
Organized excursion (optional) to the Himba people.  Return via Grootberg pass and Kamanjab towards Etosha National Park.  Dinner, accommodation and breakfast on a lodge in the south of Andersons Gate of Etosha included.

9.    Day – Etosha / Okaukuejo (ca. 200 km)
Entrance to Etosha National Park and game spotting (park fees included).  Return to lodge in the south of Andersons Gate of Etosha (dinner, accommodation and breakfast included).

10.    Etosha – Halali and Namutoni (ca. 250 km)
Back into Etosha and via eastern direction to Halali and Namutoni (park fees included).  Departure in the later afternoon via Lindquist gate to a lodge including dinner, accommodation and breakfast.

11.    Tsumeb – Waterberg (ca. 405 km)
In southern direction via the Ojtikoto Lake (park fees included) to the mine city of Tsumeb, Otavi and  Otjiwarongo to Waterberg.  On a lodge at the Waterberg Plateau dinner, accommodation and breakfast.

12.     Windhoek (ca. 280 km)
Sight seeing at the Waterberg (park fees included) return via Okahandja (visit at crafts & wood market) to Windhoek.  Accommodation and breakfast in guesthouse.

13.    Windhoek & Departure (ca. 45 km)
One full day in Windhoek.   Sight seeing in Windhoek downtown and visiting of old German colonial buildings.  In the afternoon / evening transfer to Windhoek International airport for departure.

All rates are valid until 31st July 2011 and from 20th August until October 2011.

Any additional features like special accommodation change of programs and extended travel times are possible subject to availability.
